Pilates is for everyBODY!

I'm sure you've heard that saying before, I'm sure you've heard me say it before. That's because it's true! I believe everyBODY can and should practice Pilates. When Joseph Pilates developed his movement practice, which he called Contrology, he intended for every person on this planet to practice his exercises.


You do not need to be flexible.

You do not need to be a dancer.

You do not need to be a woman.

You do not need to be young.


You just need to have a BODY!


I work with clients with all different types of bodies and they all do Pilates!


When I began diving into my practice my teacher gave me 10 exercises to do everyday so that I could truly understand and appreciate the work and what the movements do for you. I go back to those 10 exercises all the time. They are a foundation for me and when I'm short on time they are the best go to because it can be done in 5 mins.


I created a video of those 10 exercises that I'd like to share with you here.



The Pilates 10

  • Hundred

  • Roll Up

  • Single Leg Circle

  • Rolling Like a Ball

  • 5 Series (Any or All)

    • Single Leg Stretch

    • Double Leg Stretch

    • Single Straight Leg Stretch

    • Double Straight Leg Lowers

    • Criss Cross

  • Spine Stretch

  • Swan

  • Swimming

  • Side Lying (Any variation or variety)

    • Front/Back

    • Up/Down

    • Circles

  • Push Ups

You can do this everyday and it can take 5 mins or 30 mins it depends how deep you want to go or how much time you have. Try it and let me know how it goes for you.
